Yellowstone National Park: Old Faithful & Other Geysers

On Thursday we spent the day in the area around Old Faithful, hiking and seeing the geysers in the area.  Since Old Faithful erupts approximately every 90 minutes, we were able to see it from several different angles.  It's very regular, and therefore is the one that gets all the attention, and most tourists seem to drive into the park, walk about 100 yards from the parking lot to the viewing area, record the geyser erupting, and leave immediately following. But Yellowstone is home to most of the geysers in the world, and some of the other ones are really much more impressive.

The Grand Geyser is about a 1/2 mile away from Old Faithful along a boardwalk, and it's eruptions are predictable within an hour or so.  It's water shoots up higher and wider, and there's a secondary geyser right next to it.  It was probably our favorite, but we also enjoyed Castle and Beehive.  And there are so many other ones...guess we'll need to go back!
